Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust (AWP) in the UK has implemented AeroScout’s real-time location system (RTLS) to monitor staff members using its existing Wi-Fi network. Avon and Wiltshire has a secure forensic mental health service building and uses the AeroScout Patient & Staff Safety solution to improve operational efficiency and staff safety.
With the AeroScout RTLS, AWP will streamline the process for checking in and out of its facility. Upon arrival, each staff member checks in and receives a Wi-Fi RFID tag that attaches to a set of physical keys. The tag is triggered as it passes through different hospital zones and transmits a message to AeroScout’s MobileView software, which then displays the location of each person in real time.
