The solutions are designed to streamline cardiac workflows and improve diagnostic confidence using artificial intelligence and automation.

GE HealthCare has introduced a new suite of cardiology innovations ahead of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) Congress 2025. The technologies, which have recently received CE mark, are designed to improve workflow efficiency and support clinical decision-making in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease.

“Cardiovascular disease continues to place an immense and growing burden on health systems, clinicians, and patients worldwide,” says Phil Rackliffe, president and CEO, advanced visualization solutions at GE HealthCare, in a release. “At ESC, we’re demonstrating our commitment to empower care teams with innovations that help them meet these challenges head-on, using intelligent, connected tools designed to simplify workflows, accelerate diagnoses, and set a new standard in cardiac imaging.”

AI-Enhanced Cardiac Imaging and Workflow

The company’s new offerings span screening, diagnosis, intervention, and follow-up care. The newly CE-marked technologies include:

  • ViewPoint EchoPilot: An AI-powered, cloud-based workflow solution that automates echo measurements and reporting. The system is designed to reduce variability and manual input by identifying views, labeling images, capturing findings, and compiling a report for review with no clicks required.
  • CardIQ Suite: A post-processing application for advanced cardiac image analysis. It features a fully automated calcium scoring algorithm that identifies calcium burden and location, providing scores within seconds.
  • Revolution Vibe: A next-generation CT system with Unlimited One-Beat Cardiac imaging and embedded AI tools. The system is intended to deliver high-quality coronary CT angiography in a single heartbeat and can help reduce scan times by up to 50%, according to the company.
  • ComboLab AltiX AI.i: An integrated electrophysiology and hemodynamic recording system, which was granted CE Mark earlier this year and is now commercially available in Europe. The system works with Volta Medical’s Volta Interface to share real-time data for its decision support system.

“By integrating AI and automation into everyday clinical practice, we aim to reduce clinician burden, enhance consistency, and expand access to high-quality cardiac care,” says Eigil Samset, General Manager, Cardiology Solutions at GE HealthCare, in a release. “These CE-marked technologies can help deliver meaningful insights to clinicians, precisely when and where they’re needed so they can tell a truly holistic story of a patient’s heart.”

The cardiology portfolio will be on display at ESC 2025, which runs from Aug 29 to Sept 1 in Madrid, Spain. GE HealthCare also plans to unveil a new cardiovascular ultrasound system at the event.
