The system features enhanced LED multi-light technology and is compatible with Fujifilm’s 500-, 600-, 700- and new, next-generation 800-Series endoscopes.

Fujifilm Healthcare Americas Corp announced the launch of its endoscopy platform, the ELUXEO 8000 Endoscopic Imaging System, a single-unit processor and light source (EP-8000) featuring several features designed to enhance endoscopic image quality, therapeutic capabilities, and workflow efficiencies.

The next-generation platform will be demonstrated at the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG) 2025 Annual Scientific Meeting held Oct 26–28.

Fujifilm’s ELUXEO 8000 System delivers visualization through 4K resolution, triple noise reduction technology, and extended dynamic range. LED multi-light technology is a hallmark of Fujifilm’s original ELUXEO endoscopic imaging system, according to a release from the company. The introduction of the ELUXEO 8000 System also features a newly developed Amber-Red Color Imaging light mode.

Adding to Fujifilm’s Linked Color Imaging and Blue Light Imaging light modes enabling enhanced polyp detection and characterization capabilities, Amber-Red Color Imaging light mode was designed to support detection of bleeding sources and enhance noninvasive third-space endoscopy treatment with its potential to improve visualization of blood vessels in the submucosal space. With the ELUXEO 8000 System, clinicians can switch between all three modes.

“We are steadfast in our commitment to advance the field of endoscopy with innovations that empower GI physicians to safely and efficiently accomplish even the most challenging procedures with the best possible outcomes,” says Tai Fujita, vice president, endoscopy division, Fujifilm Healthcare Americas Corp, in a release. “The ELUXEO 8000 System is our latest testament in how Fujifilm is taking endoscopic imaging to new heights. In addition to exceptional imaging for optimal detection and diagnosis, we’ve developed a new light mode designed specifically to support clinicians during challenging procedures.”

Compatibility With Diagnostic Endoscopes and Bronchoscopes

The ELUXEO 8000 System is also compatible with a variety of Fujifilm’s diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopes, as well as bronchoscopes. The ELUXEO 8000 System is fully compatible with Fujifilm’s 500-, 600-, 700- and 800-series endoscopes. This is a departure from the industry’s traditional bundling of a new processor with new scopes, according to a release from the company.

Fujifilm’s newest, next-generation 800-Series endoscopes are equipped with intelligent CMOS Image Sensor technology. This includes seven 800-series US Food and Drug Administration-cleared gastroscopes and colonoscopes—including three of the company’s most recently released models—the EG-840T treatment gastroscope and EG-840TP slim treatment gastroscope designed for upper GI procedures, and the EN-840T Double Balloon Enteroscopy Scope, which enables access to the entire small intestine for diagnosis and therapeutic intervention. These scopes are also compatible with Fujifilm’s previous generation ELUXEO 7000 Endoscopic Imaging System.

“Fujifilm has already established a high standard for endoscopic image processing with the ELUXEO system, and the new EP-8000 Processor delivers meaningful advancement in overall image clarity, along with exciting new features like ACI (Amber-red Color Imaging),” says Hiroyuki Aihara, MD, PhD, director, endoscopic tissue resection, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, in a release. “By emphasizing color contrast and structural detail, this new observation mode improves visual recognition of tissue layers and blood vessels when working in the submucosal space.”
