The medical equipment rental provider has opened a national distribution center and a production center to meet rising demand and enhance its biomedical service capabilities.
US Med-Equip (USME), a provider of medical equipment rentals and management services, is expanding its national operations support with two new, larger facilities in Houston to meet increased demand from its hospital partners.
The expansion includes a new USME Distribution Center in northwest Houston, which will manage the shipping and receiving of medical equipment such as infusion pumps, ventilators, patient monitors, and specialty beds. According to the company, the facility is designed to strengthen its logistics network and help service teams respond more quickly to hospitals’ equipment needs, supporting its two-hour delivery standard.
Alongside its northwest Houston headquarters, USME has also opened a new national production center that will serve as a hub for its biomedical operations. At this location, manufacturer-certified biomedical technicians will maintain and service the company’s rental fleet of medical equipment.
“As we continue expanding, we’re strengthening every part of our operation to deliver the unmatched service and equipment quality our hospital partners expect,” says Greg Salario, CEO of US Med-Equip, in a release.
Houston-based USME operates from more than 100 locations nationwide. The company reports it is investing in new facilities, technology, and clinical support to help hospitals meet patient care demands.
