Minneapolis-based Agiliti, Inc, a national provider of medical equipment management services to the healthcare industry, announces that it has been chosen as one of two recipients of the 2019 Board of Laser Safety’s (BLS’s) prestigious Illumination Award.
The award, presented March 18 at the 2019 International Laser Safety Conference, was created to recognize an institution, company or organization that directly employs a certified medical laser safety officer, provides encouragement and support for employee participation within the laser safety community, and has made outstanding contributions to the field of laser safety.
“Since 2014, Agiliti has partnered with the Laser Institute to provide education and hands-on training for medical laser safety officers and other healthcare laser safety programs,” says Brad Jacobsen, vice president of surgical services operations at Agiliti. “In addition to our in-house BLS Certified Medical Laser Safety Officers, our entire team is focused on helping to increase the level of compliance and quality in healthcare facility laser safety programs across the country.
