The platform is described as a digital-twin approach to analyzing patient movement and operational performance across hospital departments.

Kontakt.io announced the launch of Patient Journey Analytics, a platform designed to help hospitals analyze patient flow and operational performance by bringing together clinical and operational data.

According to the company, Patient Journey Analytics functions as a data intelligence layer that integrates electronic health record data with real-time operational inputs, such as real-time location system data, to create a continuously updated model of care delivery. Kontakt.io describes this model as a “digital twin” of hospital operations.

The company says the platform is intended to address challenges health systems face when managing patient care across departments using multiple dashboards and manual processes. By consolidating data into a single view, Patient Journey Analytics is designed to show how patients move through care pathways, how resources are used, and where operational bottlenecks may occur.

Kontakt.io says the platform differs from traditional analytics tools by focusing on forward-looking insights rather than retrospective reporting.

“Hospitals don’t just need to understand what happened yesterday; they need the ability to anticipate what’s likely to happen next,” says Philipp von Gilsa, CEO of Kontakt.io, in a release. “When organizations can see, measure, predict, and act effectively, everything moves into flow: shorter wait times, healthier and more satisfied patients, happier staff, and reduced financial pressure across the health system.”

According to Kontakt.io, Patient Journey Analytics replaces static dashboards with workflows that highlight operational risks and suggest potential interventions. The company says the platform models how changes in demand, capacity, or patient acuity could affect hospital operations, with the goal of supporting more informed decision-making.

Kontakt.io says the launch comes as healthcare systems continue to manage increasing operational complexity. Additional information about the platform, including a video overview, is available from the company.
