We have a GE voluson 730 PRO. The battery for the CMOS board has failed after 1 year. Each time the machine is booted up, we now must go into system and correct the date and time. The estimate for replacing the battery, which itself costs $5, is approximately $700. I would like to attempt this myself. Is there any type of repair guide or manual available? –
This battery is a standard CR2032. Replace it with the same type and you should be good to go. If the system still does not hold the date and time after replacing the battery, the SBC board is defective.
