Alabama-based Jackson Hospital, a 300-bed not-for-profit community facility, has selected Medline as its main supplier for environmental services (EVS) products. Serving Montgomery and the Alabama River Region for over 75 years, Jackson Hospital is a key institution in the community, which includes two military bases and the state capital.

After nine years as Jackson’s medical-surgical supplier, Medline will now also supply a wide range of EVS products, with access to an online platform for real-time product availability and ordering, allowing Jackson’s staff to focus on patient care.

Inside the EVS Partnership

Key aspects of the partnership include:

  • Savings: Medline’s manufacturer-direct pricing, reduced distribution fees, and rebates offer cost efficiencies for Jackson Hospital.
  • Product standardization: Streamlining inventory reduces SKUs, lowers expiration risks, and supports bulk purchasing, while simplifying training for EVS staff.

“Medline has been a reliable partner through thick and thin,” said Mark Yarema, director of materials management at Jackson Hospital. “Their dependability, even during hurricane season, gives us confidence in our supply chain. We’re excited to expand this partnership.”

Tyler Windham, Medline’s division sales manager, also spoke out about the partnership, commenting: “This EVS partnership supports Jackson Hospital’s commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment.”
