An upcoming seven-part webinar series intended to help facilities comply with the Joint Commission’s new National Patient Safety Goal for clinical alarm systems management has already attracted a record number of registrants. According to the AAMI Foundation’s Healthcare Technology Safety Institute, which is among several co-conveners of the webinar, approximately 1,400 attendees had preregistered as of September 11. The first event will take place on September 25. The series will end in April 2014.
The webinar’s organizers include the Joint Commission, the ECRI Institute, the American Association of Critical Care Nurses, the American Hospital Association, the VA National Center for Patient Safety, the American College of Clinical Engineering, the Healthcare Technology Foundation, and the National Patient Safety Foundation.
