The University of Colorado Hospital (UCH) recently installed GE Healthcare’s CARESCAPE Monitor B850. The monitor is GE’s latest bedside patient monitor, designed to help enhance clinical decision making in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

The CARESCAPE Monitor B850 enables access to critical patient information from any bedside monitor anywhere in UCH’s NICU. The hospital also utilizes the monitor’s area-specific monitoring features for accurate NICU clinical measurements and to address common premature infant complications. Other features of the monitor include the ability to replace audible alarms with visible ones, large displays and remote controls, and the ability to allow parents to track their child’s progress.
