The Baltimore Medical Engineers and Technicians Society (BMETS) has established a $2,000 scholarship for second-year students attending Howard Community College’s biomedical technology course.
The organization is seeking corporate sponsors for the scholarship fund, and those interested in making a contribution should contact BMET officers via the group’s Web site.
The scholarship will be awarded in January 2009.
The BMETS will mark its 25th year in September 2008, and those seeking information about the planned celebration should also visit the Web site, or e-mail the group’s leaders.
