Eaton Corp, Pittsburgh, has introduced its Powerware energy management system. It optimizes power utilization and availability for all levels of power distribution systems in data centers, including real-time metering at the branch-circuit level. The system offers a new way to ensure reliable, continuous power at the branch circuit, subfeed, and main breaker levels. The system provides comprehensive, real-time metering to the branch circuit, issues warnings and alarms if current loads or environmental conditions exceed user-defined thresholds, tracks event history, collects data from up to eight panel boards and up to 336 pole positions in a single system, and supports power distribution units and remote power panels from Eaton and other manufacturers.
Lexmark International Inc, Lexington, Ky, offers a new line of color laser multifunction products (MFPs) to help health care facilities get more done with color. The new color laser MFP lineup features five new products: the Lexmark X782e, X940e, X945e, X500n, and X502n. The printers all deliver high print quality and reliable performance to meet the demands of busy work groups. Customers can use these workhorses to print color on a wide variety of documents, including difficult media such as heavy card stock, vinyl labels, and specialty papers like weather- and fade-resistant outdoor media and oversized banners. Customers can also save time and money by using these devices to print brochures and signage in-house. The printers feature the company’s award-winning e-Task color touchscreen interface, which can be customized to simplify complicated processes at the touch of an icon. This interface drives Lexmark’s industry-specific workflow solutions, which are designed to help health care customers improve paper-based processes.

The newly revised Version 1.0 of the Medical Software Directory Database from GlobalMedTek, Burbank, Calif, is now free for users at www.GlobalMedTek.net. The site makes finding software fast and easy with indexed specialty, application, and technology categories for expanded searches. Using dropdown lists of medical specialties and health care applications, users select appropriate computer programs. Product profiles list detailed software information, categorized by medical specialty, health care application, technology, operating system, and keywords.
In addition, through the medical Web portal, users can now immediately access an ever-expanding source of more than 500 vendors. Participating vendors list their company demographics, Web site addresses, links, e-mail addresses, and contact information in the form of vendor profiles in the free searchable databases.
Fluke Corp, Everett, Wash, has introduced the Fluke 922 airflow meter, a rugged tool designed to provide an easy-to-use and powerful solution for ventilation monitoring and diagnostics applications in the field. Combining differential pressure, air velocity, and flow measurements into a single meter, the Fluke 922 enables technicians to conveniently monitor air pressure across key heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) components, and to help maintain a comfortable environment by checking for optimum airflow balance. The Fluke 922 is compatible with most pitot tubes, and allows HVAC technicians to enter duct shape and dimensions to maximize measurement accuracy. It features colored hoses designed to help users easily interpret pressure readings; min/max/average/hold functions for convenient data analysis; a bright, backlit display for clear viewing even in dimly-lit environments; and an automatic power-off function to conserve battery life.
