Accruent, a provider of asset, facilities, and real estate management solutions, has acquired Mainspring Healthcare Solutions, whose software and technology solutions have been adopted by hospital service departments throughout the United States. Together, the two companies’ products are used in more than 55% of US hospitals.

“We are excited to welcome Mainspring’s customers as part of the Accruent family,” says Mark Friedman, chief executive officer, Accruent. “Within the healthcare industry, we’ve experienced significant growth in the past 18 months. We look forward to driving even more value for our customers with the addition of Mainspring’s services-oriented platform to further meet the unique needs of healthcare organizations.”

In addition to its Enterprise Asset Management computerized maintenance management system, Mainspring offers a suite of mobile solutions. iNeedIt, iGotIt, and iTrackit focus beyond clinical engineering and facility management, where Accruent traditionally specializes. In healthcare, Accruent’s offerings include a range of solutions for clinical engineering, facility management, environmental services, materials management, portfolio management and lease administration, and facility capital planning.

“Our healthcare system is under a tremendous amount of pressure to improve patient care and reduce costs,” says Jason Beem, general manager of healthcare, Accruent. “Mainspring’s unique suite of workflow automation solutions complement Accruent’s existing healthcare solutions and will give our healthcare customers the technology they need to adapt to today’s market dynamics.”

The two companies are expected to complete their integration by mid-2016. Customers will reportedly experience no interruption in support or services, and will be invited to attend a series of webinars that introduce Accruent.
