Electrical Safety Analyzer
Fluke Biomedical, Everett, Wash, now offers a small-footprint ESA612 electrical safety analyzer. A combination ECG simulator, multimeter, and electrical safety analyzer, it features a lightweight, portable design and stand-up testing for field environments developed by human factors experts. Its standard internal memory can store up to 100 test records for rapid records maintenance. Optional automation software standardizes test procedures, compares results to standards limits, and generates and stores reports. With a selection of two test loads, the device can be used worldwide for compliance testing with the users’ preventive maintenance electrical safety standards of choice.
Palm-Sized IV Pump Analyzer
The FlowTrax palm-sized IV pump analyzer, from Pronk Technologies, Sun Valley Calif, delivers infusion-device testing in a compact size. Features include patent-pending bubble-tracking technology for better flow-measurement speed and an integrated pressure meter that offers a pressure range of -760 mm Hg to 75 PSI and internal/external temperature measurement. Its occlusion mechanism provides user-controlled occlusion testing and a variable, lifelike back pressure simulation, allowing users to verify IV pump compliance to ANSI or AAMI regulations. Electronic record storage capability is available through a USB memory stick port. Power the device with either two internal AA alkaline batteries or external DC power.
