REPAIR FOR PHILIPS’ TELEMETRY TRANSMITTER
The new repair program offered by MedEquip Biomedical, Doral, Fla, for the Philips M2601B telemetry transmitter complements the company’s services for patient-monitoring products. Pricing will be tiered with flat rates of $370, $500, and $750, depending on the condition of the device. Plastics, case parts, and flex circuitry are included. The company will furnish repairs for the IntelliVue M4841A transmitter by fall 2008, and will continue to work on M3000A and M3001A MMS modules, M2601A/B gas, and other HP/Agilent/Philips systems; GE/Marquette; Spacelabs; Siemens; and Datascope monitors. The company is ISO 9001:2000 quality certified.
Fluke Corp, Everett, Wash, now offers the new 113 utility multimeter, a user-friendly device that helps utility workers, linemen, and electricians quickly diagnose electrical problems, and gives utility users a convenient way to perform basic meter set and reconnect testing. Its features help users repair most electrical problems. The VCHEK LoZ low-impedance measurement function lets users simultaneously test for voltage or continuity, while the min/max function lets them record signal fluctuations. The device performs diode tests, provides auto- and manual-ranging capabilities, features added measurement functions, a larger display, and conforms with safety standards. Additional features include an integral holster with probe holders for easy storage and a backlit display that provides visibility in low-lit areas. An optional magnetic hanger suspends the tool from steel surfaces for hands-free use. It meets Measurement Category CAT III 600 V and CAT IV 300 V standards.
