Italian manufacturer Esaote has entered the total-body MRI market with the introduction of Magnifico Open. Company officials say the device’s open magnet and easy-to-access patient table facilitate comfortable patient positioning, which is suitable for claustrophobic and pediatric patients.
What’s more, they say that Magnifico Open is equipped with Esaote technologies such as Speed Up, which reduces examination times without compromising image quality; True-Motion real-time imaging, which offers a complementary approach to standard MRI for a more comprehensive clinical and diagnostic picture, particularly in high-level sports medicine; and Metal Artifact Reduction, or MAR, which is designed for post-surgical imaging.
Esaote CEO Franco Fontana also spoke out about the new device, commenting: “In recent years, the technological evolution of MRI has seen major developments.
