The St Clair Hospital outpatient surgery center, Pittsburgh, Pa, selected the Versus Advantages real-time locating system (RTLS) from Versus Technology Inc. The adoption of an RTLS is an effort to streamline workflow in response to the projection of increasing patient volumes. Versus previously provided location information, call cancellation, and patient flow to St Clair. This addition will automate a nurse call and scheduling system.
Versus collaborated with Intelligent Electronic Systems Inc to create a custom solution for the St Clair network. This new design utilizes much of their existing RTLS network, retains well-liked features from the old system, and automates several additional features to improve patient care and efficiency. Other features include a schedule view, automated nurse-to-patient assignments, and Web-based alerts.
